The home stadium of Stoke City Football Club will be rebranded as the “bet365 Stadium” beginning in the upcoming season.
The football team has secured a six-year agreement with the betting firm, also under the ownership of the Coates family, extending until the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. Bet365 will also maintain its position as the club’s jersey sponsor for a minimum of three more seasons.
“The Premier League is in a constant state of evolution, and to guarantee that Stoke City remains as competitive as possible, it is imperative that we investigate every avenue for generating income,” stated Stoke’s chief executive, Tony Scholes.
“Undoubtedly, the Britannia brand has become synonymous with the Club throughout their tenure as our stadium sponsor, and it is crucial that we express our sincere gratitude to Britannia and the Co-operative Bank for their unwavering support over the past 19 years.
“The Premier League enjoys a global viewership, and bet365 is a truly international company. We are thrilled to have formalized a six-year stadium naming rights collaboration with them, in addition to prolonging their shirt sponsorship arrangement.”
The jersey partnership agreement with Stoke City has definitely provided bet365 with remarkable worldwide visibility,” stated John Coates, bet365 Co-Chief Executive Officer and Stoke City Deputy Chairman. “We were keen to broaden our athletic collaboration holdings, and obtaining the stadium title rights with Stoke was a logical progression, particularly considering Stoke-on-Trent is the headquarters for bet365.”
