The British gaming sector is preparing for its inaugural Responsible Gaming Week, scheduled for October 12th to 18th. This large-scale initiative, spearheaded by the gaming industry itself, will witness widespread engagement from all facets of the business: from bookmakers to bingo parlors, online behemoths to physical casinos. Over 10,000 venues, representing more than 121,000 staff members, will collaborate to advocate for responsible gaming practices. The emphasis will be on enhancing awareness regarding the hazards linked to gambling and equipping patrons with the necessary resources to engage in safe gaming. Sir Christopher Kelly, who heads the Responsible Gambling Strategy Board, underscored the significance of actively listening to consumers and leveraging their experiences to enhance the safety of gambling. He commended the week’s theme, “Let’s Discuss Safer Gaming,” as a crucial stride towards fostering a more transparent dialogue about responsible gambling.
