The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has requested that Australian internet service providers (ISPs) restrict access to nine additional gambling websites.
The ACMA determined that Winning Days, 21Bit Casino, Oshi Casino, Lucky Elf Casino, NeoSpin, Lets Lucky, Boho Casino, Ripper Casino, and BC.Game were in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act of 2001. This brings the overall number of prohibited gambling and affiliate websites blocked to 642 since the ACMA initially requested blocks in November 2019.
Since the ACMA commenced enforcing new illegal offshore gambling regulations in 2017, over 180 illicit services have withdrawn from the Australian marketplace.
The ACMA stated, “The ACMA reminds consumers that even if a service appears to be legitimate, it is improbable that it will have significant consumer safeguards; this signifies that Australians using illegal gambling services are at risk of financial loss.”
Earlier in the current month, the ACMA indicated that it intends to concentrate on “affiliate services that promote and direct traffic to unlawful online casinos” in the present year.

From July to September, the ACMA scrutinized twenty of these affiliate services to prevent them from promoting illegal gambling within Australia. Their investigation revealed that many of these services were violating regulations by promoting unlawful gambling and facilitating illegal gambling activities.
